Born from necessity, the Gaza Soup Kitchen is a beacon of resilience in North Gaza, providing hot meals during the most challenging times. Founded by the Almadhoun family—who have endured displacement, hunger, and the heartbreaking loss of loved ones, including the late Chef Mahmoud Almadhoun—the mission has grown from a single pot of soup into a massive humanitarian lifeline. Today, the initiative has scaled its impact significantly to meet the overwhelming need. To support this mission, the community can donate through the Feeling Blessed platform, a trusted space for Muslim donors to provide Zakat and Sadaqah directly to those in need. 🍲 Our Growing Impact While we began by serving just 1,200 families, our reach has expanded across the region. 50,000 Families: We now strive to reach 50,000 families daily through our expanded network of community kitchens and food distribution points. Education & Health: More than just a kitchen, we operate a health clinic and a full-fledged school in both North and South Gaza, ensuring that children and families receive medical care and education alongside their meals. Clean Water: We deploy water trucks daily to ensure displaced families have access to safe, potable water. ✨ A Legacy of Service Chef Mahmoud, known as the "Lion of the North," began with whatever he could forage from nearby farms, crafting meals to nourish his community under impossible conditions. Although he is no longer with us, his brother Hani and their dedicated team continue his legacy. We are stirring up soup, not conflict—serving dignity alongside every plate.
