On September 8, 2023, a devastating earthquake struck the Marrakech El Haouz region, plunging many families into unimaginable distress. The damage caused by this disaster has been devastating, destroying homes, displacing entire families, and leaving a trail of destruction behind. Many of our brothers and sisters in this region have lost everything: their homes, their possessions, and in some cases, even their loved ones. They are now facing basic needs such as food, clean water, warm clothing, and a safe shelter. It is in these difficult times that the solidarity and generosity of each of us make a difference. The Morocco Foundation organization is mobilized to provide immediate assistance to these families in distress, but they cannot do it alone. Together, we are stronger The Morocco Foundation is a Non-Profit Organization that was created by a team of seasoned Moroccan professionals as a response to acute humanitarian needs in rural Morocco and other parts of the world. The mission is to fight poverty and illiteracy in Morocco and other part of the globe by improving the availability and quality of services for the disadvantaged and poor population groups. Our projects benefit children, especially the ethnic minorities and rural people by giving priority to cost-effective interventions. OUR MAIN OBJECTIVES – To reduce poverty and illiteracy among the most vulnerable : orphans, children and handicapped. – To promote children schooling and education especially when gender imbalance exist. – To help the underprivileged with the basic necessities like water, food, and clothing.
