Founded by student and Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai, Malala Fund champions every girl’s right to 12 years of free, safe, quality education. Malala Fund is dedicated to building a world where every girl can learn and lead. With over 120 million girls currently out of school, the organization works to eliminate the barriers that keep girls from receiving an education. Malala Fund's efforts span multiple countries and regions, focusing on empowering local educators and advocates to drive systemic change.
The organization’s Education Champion Network supports advocates in countries where girls face the greatest challenges in accessing education, including Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nigeria and Brazil. Inspired by Malala and Ziauddin Yousafzai’s roots as local activists in Pakistan, the Malala Fund's Education Champion Network identifies, invests in and scales the work of promising local advocates and educators. Malala Fund amplifies girls' voices through its digital publication, Assembly, giving girls and young women a platform to share their stories and advocate for their rights.
