IslamInSpanish started after the founder Jaime "Mujahid" Fletcher who accepted Islam 3 months before 9/11. When trying to explain to his father what Islam is he realized that there was almost no material about Islam in the Spanish language. Shortly after his father accepted Islam at the age of 57, he told Mujahid, "if there is no material in Spanish about Islam then you're going to have to make it, and I'll help you." With that IslamInSpanish was born with the mission "To inspire, lead, and educate Latinos and other communities about Islam through multimedia production and grassroots outreach worldwide." Hoping that we can fulfill our vision "To transform lives into productive global citizens collaborating for the common good of humanity."
