Born from necessity, the Gaza Soup Kitchen is a beacon of resilience in North Gaza, providing hot meals during times of famine. Founded by a Palestinian family that has endured the same heartbreak as so many others—burying loved ones, displacement, and hunger—Chef Mahmoud began with whatever he could source from nearby farms or forage, crafting meals to nourish his community. Today, the kitchen serves 1,200 families daily, operates a health clinic, and runs a full-fledged school in both North and South Gaza.
More than just a soup kitchen, this initiative has captured media attention, inspiring hope with every meal and uplifting the community through storytelling. We are stirring up soup, not conflict, serving dignity alongside every plate.
