Friends of Indus Hospital (FOIH) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization dedicated to supporting the Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN), Pakistan’s largest network of free healthcare services. FOIH mobilizes funds and raises awareness among Pakistani-American communities to sustain IHHN’s mission of providing free, high-quality healthcare across Pakistan, irrespective of a patient’s background or financial standing. IHHN, established in 2007, has expanded from a single hospital in Karachi to a nationwide network, including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, blood banks, community health clinics, mobile clinics, mobile diagnostic vans, and boat clinic. This healthcare system treats over 6 million patients annually, offering cancer care, dialysis, orthopedics, maternal health services and more. The organization also plays a critical role in Pakistan’s public health sector by supporting government facilities and addressing critical shortages in healthcare professionals through its educational initiatives, such as the Indus University of Health Sciences. FOIH's mission extends beyond basic healthcare—supporting specialized initiatives like childhood cancer treatment, organ transplant programs, and maternal health. Every donation directly impacts the lives of underserved communities, helping to fund life-saving treatments, medical equipment, and facility expansions.
